Genuine parts are made to the exact specification of the original component, so they fit first time and behave as the manufacturer intended. Aftermarket copies can vary in thread size, dimensions and tolerances — small differences that cause leaks, poor control or parts that simply don't seat properly.
Reliability and lifespan
Heating components work hard, often for years, under heat and pressure. Genuine parts are built and tested to the original quality standard, so they tend to last. Cheaper copies may use lower-grade materials that wear, seize or leak sooner — meaning you replace them again (and pay again) before long.
Warranty
